Summary: On October 10, 1938, Orville F Williams, a Park Rapids MN CCC youth was killed in the crash of two forestry service fire trucks. As a result of many vehicle deaths, the CCC instituted driving instruction and other safety protocols relating to maintenance of vehicles and transport.
